Responsibilities

TexomaCare is comprised of primary care physicians and a variety of specialists in nine local communities. Working with TexomaCare means you will work with a care team of physicians, advanced practitioners and staff providing compassionate and quality care including Pediatrics, Cardiology, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, ENT, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Pain Medicine, Psychiatry, Urology, and Urgent Care services. Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 12 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. The Trainer position is responsoble for:

  • Developing and maintaining all training programs including testing, competencies, audits for all Patient Coordinators.
  • Performing registration functions on all patients, performs insurance verification, collects co-payments, deductible amounts and outstanding balances and processes referral/routing orders.
  • Entering patient changes, processes CPT and ICD-9 codes, performs end-of-day balancing.

Qualifications

  • Four years experience in a physician's office or two years as a Patient Coordinator experience.
  • Proficient data entry skills
  • Interpersonal relationship skills, effective verbal communications skills in order to communicate effectively with all demographic groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be familiar with medical terminology and demonstrate knowledge of third party payors (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance).
