Job ProfileTherapists provide clinical services to patients in the Residential Treatment Program, or our outpatient services which include a Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Program. Therapists make assessments, create treatment plans, serve as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team and document in the patient chart interactions with patients and family as well as the patient's progress toward reaching treatment goals.
Therapists also engage in discharge planning activities. The therapist provides group, individual and family therapy activities and collaborates with community providers, social service agencies and other therapeutic programs. Therapists are called upon to perform crisis intervention and to address hostile behaviors in accordance with facility approved interventions.
Licensure: Licensure in the State of Nevada in the area of Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) is strongly preferred. Interns will be reviewed on a case by case basis.Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, MFT or other health related field. Experience: At least one year (1) clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health treatment setting.Certifications: CPR Certification through AHA, HWC Certification
