Sterile Processing Technician Opportunity

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. Sterile Processing Technician : Responsible for assisting the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing unit by performing clerical and receptionist duties, and performing patient care/service activities/procedures as outlined by the state..

Position Description:

Perform all assigned duties related to the reprocessing of medical equipment and instrumentation, including but not limited to the following tasks: receiving, inspecting, cleaning, machine processing, sorting, assembly, packaging and wrapping, sterilization, process controls, storage and distribution

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

High school diploma at minimum

Specific medical/surgical sterile processing techniques in an acute care hospital required OR educational courses within surgical technology program.

Certification through IAHCSM, NICHSPDP or Purdue University Continuing Education preferred.
