Responsibilities

Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Natchez Trace Youth Academy is a highly-structured 115-bed cognitive behavioral program serving adolescent males ages 11-17 years old. Our interdisciplinary staff helps residents refocus their thinking patterns in order to improve their actions/behavior. Our diverse team works together to facilitate the changes that become an investment in the future of each young man's life and his family's life. We are located in the beautiful hills of Tennessee between two magnificent rivers, just 15 miles south of Waverly, Tennessee. Natchez Trace Youth Academy is seeking a dynamic and talented Registered Nurse (RN) on a PRN basis. In continuing our tradition of helping young men to have the greatest chance of success possible, the RN renders professional nursing care to students within the treatment program. S/he practices ongoing student assessment, evaluation and update of student care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms, and communicates pertinent data to other service areas as needed as well as documenting findings accurately. S/he administers medications appropriately and documents all data accurately according to facility policy. S/he participates in formulation of individual treatment/care plans for all students and implements plan according to facility policy.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. At lease 2 years experience in the nursing field. Experience in a residential program is preferred.

  • Valid Driver License
  • CPR / 1st Aid Certified
