Anchor Hospital is seeking a Dynamic and Talented Registered Nurse (RN) PT Opportunity

Established in 1986, the Anchor Hospital campus of Southern Crescent Behavioral Health System is a 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission that specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for Adolescents, Adults and Senior Adults. Located in College Park, Anchor Hospital serves Mental Health and Substance Abuse patients from all over the Southeast through our Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Outpatient, and Tricare program for active duty and veterans. We are committed to excellence in diagnosis, treatment and education. Patients who come to Anchor Hospital are in crisis, and the road to recovery for behavioral, mental health, and substance abuse patients is a difficult one. The staff at Anchor Hospital serves as compassionate guides who provide for our patients’ clinical needs.

In addition to a geriatric unit, a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility also offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit.

Registered Nurses (RNs) at Anchor Hospital deliver quality nursing care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care.

Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:

  • Assess patients through a systematic process of interacting with the patient, the patient’s significant others, and the appropriate health care providers.
  • Administer medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner
  • Collect and analyze data regarding the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs.
  • Develop a comprehensive outline of care and specific goals and interventions to be included in treatment planning. Prepare interdisciplinary treatment plans for assigned patients and monitor patient’s progress toward meeting treatment plan objectives.
  • Monitor patients following nursing unit policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

  • Current license to practice nursing in GA (or eligible to receive or renew).
  • Current AHA CPR certification.
  • Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged.
