SummitRidge Hospital provides quality behavioral health and addiction treatment services in Lawrenceville, GA, approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. Our healthcare professionals provide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, professional Registered Nurse (RN) with recent behavioral health experience to work PT Days (7:00am - 7:00pm). The Registered Nurse (RN) prescribes, delegates, and coordinates the nursing care provided to patients in our care. The ideal candidate must be flexible and cross-trained to float to various units/shifts (including weekends and holidays) as business needs demand. It is also expected that the Registered Nurse (RN) supervises and directs the nursing care provided by other nursing staff in a positive and courteous manner, communicating effectively to other team members to promote efficient and compassionate continuity of care.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with an AD, Diploma or BSN

- Currently licensed as an RN with the Georgia State Board of Nursing or temporary permit

- Experienced nurse changing to an area with no experience in that area or BSN, AD, Diploma, MSN with one year (minimum) recent experience in that area

- Prior experience with inpatient psychiatry preferred
