Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents is a unique acute care, inpatient specialty hospital with 110 licensed beds, including Med Surg. and Residential Treatment Center; staffed by the finest physicians and treatment teams.

We treat patients, ages 2-22 who have chronic illnesses, brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders with co-behavioral issues.

7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

7 p.m. - 7 a.m.

3 p.m. - 11 a.m.

Essential Job Duties:

Provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team Provide medical management and assessment of patients Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population Direct the implementation of behavior management programs and ensure consistent carry-through Make patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitor their, performance of duties Document patient care, ensure that data is accurate, and that it is included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN Preferred Hold an active Registered Nurse License in the state of VA or Compact State

Prefer one year of inpatient medical surgery, rehab or psychiatric experience Must be able to sustain physical activity throughout the scheduled shift Able to remain on feet throughout the scheduled shift
