Responsibilities

The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for a PRN Nurse Practitioner. 

The Nurse Practitioner will oversee the quality of care delivered to assigned patients with supervising psychiatrist. 

Performs psychiatric assessments for individuals under his/her care. Completes documentation necessary to address patients hospitalized under civil commitment statutes. Provides individual therapy, family therapy and/or medication management as needed for patients. Appropriately requests consultation when indicated. Provides psychiatric consultation when requested. The Nurse Practitioner must be available to work on call and weekends.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in Nursing

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience with psychiatric or mental health patients required. 

License/Certification: Current APRN FL License. Current CPR and First Aid Certification. Successful completion of Handle with Care training including appropriate use of seclusion and restraints within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process.

Skills: Knowledge of psychopharmacology.
