Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 378-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Position provides direct care with limited invasives procedures. This position is an advancement opportunity for the Nurse Aide and adheres to the delegatable tasks approved by the Texas Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

Two years of performing as a nursing assistant in the healthcare profession preferred. Completion of CNA, Medical Assistant course, two years of nursing school or other recent comparable education and job experience recommended.

Current CPR certification required. AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider card showing completion of cognitive and skills evaluation in accordance with the curriculum of AHA BLS (CPR & AED) program. Handle with Care within 6 months of hire.

Must be able to provide basic care giving skills to patients. Must have effective communication and time management skills
