About the Role:
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Haverhill is looking for an Assistant Director to join our team! Our Partial Hospitalization Programs are group-based and short-term for individuals requiring a higher level of care. Our teams work to promote a group that is therapeutic, safe, and supportive. The Partial Hospitalization (PHP) Assistant Director assists in the overall quality and fiscal management of the PHP program. The Assistant Director, in collaboration with or in the absence of the Director PHP, assures that clinical services are in full compliance with applicable regulations and payer contract specifications. The Assistant Director delivers direct services to clients, participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and performs administrative duties required in program management.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and conduce intakes
  • Assesses client’s or family’s needs and eligibility for services thought Intake Assessments and on-going assessments through course of treatment at program
  • Lead and Co-lead group therapy in accordance with assigned client needs
  • Participates in planning treatment programs
  • Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning
  • Maintain a case-load in accordance with needs of program
  • Maintain required charting and documentation in a timely and thorough manner
  • Perform de-escalation interventions
  • Adhere to all client confidentiality requirements and standards
  • Accepts supervision and attends regularly scheduled team or supervision meetings
  • Oversee transportation coordination – site specific
  • Oversee supply orders for program – site specific
  • Oversee food service for program – site specific
  • Mentor to Graduate Level Interns
  • Provides supervision to Graduate Level Interns – if able to based on qualification and as determined by Director.
  • Participate in chart audit process
  • Required minimal supervision regarding use of time and ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families
  • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations or with unpredictable or violent clients
  • Ability to make accurate assessments and provide appropriate treatment
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Nursing or related Program, or PhD. in Psychology from an accredited college or University
  • Minimum of two years as a clinical supervisor or program manager preferred
  • Prior experience with children & adolescents as well as a higher level of care experience preferred
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
  • Candidate must provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Card or appropriate religious / medical exemption. Card must possess at least either two Moderna Vaccinations, two Pfizer vaccinations, or a J&J vaccination with an additional Moderna/Pfizer vaccination
Leadership Expectations:
  • Fosters staff development and growth of team
  • Provides regular coaching and feedback to employees to motivate performance
  • Completes performance evaluations providing thorough feedback and goals to assigned staff by established deadlines
  • Coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to staff; actively involved in resolving employee matters/issues
  • Maintains open communication through regular rounding and one to one meetings with employees
  • Ensures staff comply with assigned education requirement in a timely manner (i.e., CIA Training, HIPAA training, competencies, etc.)
  • Responsible for holding staff accountable with upholding facility policies/procedures and managing the corrective action process when needed
  • Actively participates and champions the facility’s Service Excellence and Recognition Programs
  • Develops team building initiatives to engage staff and build a positive team dynamic
  • Actively participates in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for all staff within the team
