UHS of Delaware, Inc. is Hiring an OUTPATIENT THERAPIST (LICENSED) - FULL TIME Near OCALA, FL

Responsibilities

The Vines Hospital, located in Ocala, FL is a premier behavioral health facility offering individualized mental health and addiction treatment to adults in a secure and private setting. Our services for individuals include specialty programs for active-duty military and Veterans. Our services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We offer acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment.

Our Location:

We are located in picturesque Marion County, FL. The county is known as the Horse Capital of the World. Enjoy the outdoors at one of the county’s serene parks, which includes wonderful hiking trails, river rafting, and tubing. Watch the county’s wildlife and view the scenery by taking a horseback ride through one of the area’s riding trails. Considered the heart of Florida, the beautiful region is centrally located within hours of many activities. Just a drive away from some of the state’s amusement parks or beautiful Florida beaches. The county is less than two hours away from some of the state’s large metropolitan areas. From young professionals to a growing family, the area has plenty of activities for every individual.

Therapists are responsible for conducting therapeutic services for patients. They provide counseling sessions for families, individuals, and groups. Therapists are responsible for interviewing and developing the psychological history, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family, developing appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries. Therapists act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. Therapists are also liaisons with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.

Therapists provide individual therapy for treatment plan update at a minimum of one (1) session per week, family therapy at a minimum one (1) time a week with acute population when needed, group therapy seven (7) days per week.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1.

Education:

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or other related fields.

2.

Experience:

One (1) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with children and/or adolescents and/or adults. Experience with PTSD or DBT as plus. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to these; abuse reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, vocational, play therapy, art therapy and relaxation therapy. Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.

3.

License/Certification:

Current license from the State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC preferred.

Skills:

1. Good verbal and written communication skills in order to document assessments, treatment planning and interventions into a meaningful document. Must be able to communicate with members of the interdisciplinary treatment team, managed care representatives, children, adolescents, adults and patient families in a clear and concise manner.

2. Knowledge of individual, group and family therapy dynamics and techniques as related to cultural, social, economic, communication and role expectations within family systems.

3. Knowledge of clinical skills to assess treatment dynamics accurately and develop effective treatment strategies within the overall treatment plan.

4. Employees assigned to children and adolescents must have the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of child and adolescent needs, knowledge of growth and developmental stages and must possess an understanding of the range of treatment needed by this age group.

Physical Requirements:

Minimal. May require response to crisis intervention.

6.

Other:

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Clinical Services/Social Services, Assistant Director of Clinical Services, Lead Therapist or Chief Executive Officer.
