About the Role:

Arbour Counseling Services is excited to offer a Part Time, 10 hr/week opportunity between the hours of 9am and 2pm for an Occupational Therapist in our Partial Hospitalization Program in Haverhill, MA. Our Partial Hospitalization Programs are group-based and short-term for individuals requiring a higher level of care. Our teams work to promote a group that is therapeutic, safe, and supportive. We thrive for an environment in which the emotional and psychological well-being of the individual is maintained and encouraged.

We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to include running Occupational Therapy Groups as well as some individualized treatment. This position would include some travel to other Massachusetts locations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
• Collect data and document processes followed
• Regularly follow-up client

Qualifications

• Psych Occupational Therapist experience required
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practice of occupational therapy
• Familiarity with evaluation tools
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
• Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Licensed to practice occupational therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere
• Good communication skills
• Must possess excellent vision and hearing, and the ability to read and speak English
• Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
• Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
• Candidate must provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Card or appropriate religious / medical exemption. Card must possess at least either two Moderna Vaccinations, two Pfizer vaccinations, or a J&J vaccination with an additional Moderna/Pfizer vaccination.
