Responsibilities

Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.

The Nurse Manager provides administrative and clinical supervision to all nursing staff and psychiatric technicians on two or more units. The Nurse Manager is a liaison to department directors and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations of services and departments on their unit. The Nurse Manager promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care.

Qualifications

BSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred. Five years of behavioral health experience and ASN required. 18 months in clinical, managerial and administrative experience preferred. Emergency Room nursing experience, preferred.
