Responsibilities

Quail Run Hospital is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona. Quail Run features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Summary:

Our Music Therapist is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team who is responsible for planning and implementing music therapy services for assigned program. This involves defining and implementing treatment goals and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Music Therapy. Master’s degree in Music Therapy preferred.
  • A minimum of One (1) year of related experience, knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
  • Certification by the certification board for music therapists and credentialed in Music Therapy as a board certified Music Therapist.
  • Must have or be able to obtain within 30 days of employment a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and CPR/BLS certification.
