UHS of Delaware, Inc. is Hiring a MGR - FACILITIES Near ENID, OK

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing construction projects for the Hospital. Assists the Director with management of the Facilities and Security department. Responsible for management of the department in the absence of the Director. Implements quality assurance, timely completion and budget control. 

  • Assists Director with interviewing, hiring, evaluating, disciplining, counseling and terminating employees within guidelines of human resource policy and procedures.
  • Plan workload, schedule employees, audits and approves timecards.
  • Completes performance evaluations in a fair and objective manner and returns to Human Resources by the close of the pay period corresponding to the reviews effective date.
  • Assists Director with formulating, submitting and meeting capital and operation budget.
  • Maintains department FTEs at 100% or above department productivity.
  • Responsible for assuring that areas assigned meet the State, Medicare, TJC and other regulations required.
  • Assists Director in the Environment of Care to assure operational reliability, assess special risks and response to failures of utility systems.
  • Provides staff with direction and guidance regarding daily work activities. Schedules work, makes assignments and coordinates with the department Director.
  • Assists Director in maintaining EC compliance.
  • Works with contractors and vendors performing tasks related to repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs inspection and tours related to safety and building maintenance.
  • Provides reports to the Director and Hospital. Gathers data, monitors utility systems, trends and analyzes the data making recommendations. Reports weekly activities and project status.
  • Strives to maintain a current and up to date knowledge of codes and standards.
  • Works with department Secretary and Director to ensure that equipment is properly entering the hospital according to hospital policy.
  • Responsible for internal and external construction activities to include staffing, procuring materials, scheduling, awarding contracts and inspections in accordance with company policy. Evaluates and provide recommendations to Director for review.
  • Coordinates projects with architects, departments and physicians to ensure building standards and budgets are maintained.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of master file on construction projects. Ensures accurate record keeping of projects and maintains the project archives.
  • Ensure projects are completed within specified time frame, meets budget and with a high quality of workmanship.
  • Prepares estimates for internal projects for managers.
  • May assist with construction projects as needed.
  • Ensure materials are charged to correct project and project has an appropriate job number.
  • Facilitate the transition after completion of project for customer use.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in engineering or other related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current valid motor vehicle license.
  • Experience required in healthcare facility plant operations.
  • Construction experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
  • State electrical, mechanical or plumbing license preferred.
  • Secure and TEAM Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training within six (6) months of employment required.
  • DOT HAZMAT training within 90 days of hire and maintained every three (3) years.
