UHS of Delaware, Inc. is Hiring a MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN Near PORTLAND, OR

Responsibilities

Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and outpatient services provider in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to healing our patients’ minds and bodies through a combination of high-quality clinical services and holistic healing practices.

Our hospital mission is to provide safe, effective, and compassionate mental health and substance abuse treatment to those in need.

Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an openings for Full Time, Part Time, and PRN Mental Health Technicians (Starting at $19.00/hr DOE). Responsibilities include: observes, escorts, and monitors patients; reports observations to the Registered Nurse; provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse; assists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environment; and engages patients in and role models positive, recovery oriented behaviors.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, preferred.

Knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care, preferred

Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.

Maintain a valid driver’s license preferred.

Certified Nursing Assistant or other relevant credentials preferred.

Must successfully complete Handle with Care before being assigned patient care and recertify at the required intervals

Must successfully complete CPR and Service Excellence within 90 days of employment and recertify at the required intervals

May be asked to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
