Mental Health Technician:
Position Summary: The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from adolescent through geriatrics. All MHT’s work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year(s) of related patient care experience. Preferred: Previous experienced and knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required.
Work Hours: 8-hour shifts: Days, 7am - 3pm; Evenings, 3pm - 11pm; Nights, 11pm - 7am. Must work rotating weekends.
