Turning Point Care Center, LLC

Patient Tech

Turning Point Care Center has an opening for a full-time Mental Health Tech (MHT). MHTs play a vital role in providing excellent care for our patients and are a member of the interdisciplinary team who assists in total client care through implementation of appropriate therapeutic approaches.

  • Provide direct patient care within a multidiscipline team approach.
  • Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete data and records.
  • Intervenes with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique.
  • Therapeutically communicate with patients. Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills.
  • Directs/redirects behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences. Responds appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria.
  • Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have:

  • One (1) year experience in a patient related field, required.
  • One (1) year experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients, preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Further training/education in behavioral health and substance abuse preferred.
  • Current Georgia Driver's License with: no more than 2 moving violations in the past 6 years; no more than 4 points on record; no reckless driving citations; no more than 1 accident on record for the past 5 years; no DUI or DWI violations.
  • Ability to communicate therapeutically and age appropriately.
