Responsibilities

Medical Records Clerk

Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, UT is a private residential treatment center for adolescents 12-17 years of age. We counsel, teach and mentor children placed in our care and give each child a chance to make successful changes. At Copper Hills Youth Center, we treat boys and girls who have emotional, behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Our accredited private school allows students to continue their education while receiving treatment. We are searching for a full time Medical Records Clerk who will be responsible for filing reports and progress notes on a daily basis. They will also copy charts/records, mail and/or fax copies to authorized persons, and audit charts for compliance.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma required, with some college preferred• Experience with an Electronic Medical Record system is preferred.• Experience with Joint Commission and Medicare standards preferred. • Must have experience with HIPAA compliance standards.• Must be able communicate with all levels of staff in a positive manner via written, telephone, and email methods.

• Must be able to pass a very thorough background check• Must be at least 21 years of age
