Responsibilities

Northern Nevada Medical Group, part of Northern Nevada Health System, offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services for the entire family. Our providers offer wellness services, family, geriatric and internal medicine, along with specialty care including cardiology, general surgery, podiatry and pulmonary medicine. Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 12 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Our leadership team, practitioners, and teams of healthcare professionals are collectively dedicated to improving the health and wellness of people in the communities we serve.

The Medical Assistant, is responsible for overall functioning of the medical office, which includes patient scheduling check in and check out, insurance authorizations, medical records and supply management. This position requires the ability to multi-task and perform in a fast pace environment.

This Medical Assistant opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week and offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant certificate required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant 
  • Fluent with medical terminology required
