Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. It is our goal to provide compassionate care to those individuals living with mental illness so they can live their life to the fullest.

Position Summary

The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic under of psychiatric and personality disorders.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing

Experience:  Minimum one (1) year as a LPN/LVN/LPT in pyschiatric nursing preferred, with six (6) months experience in the specialized area of Child and Adolescent Development also preferred but not required

Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of CPI including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employement and prior to assisting with restraining procedures
