The LPN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.
Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a LPN in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of HANDLE WITH CARE including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
