Established in 1986, Anchor Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for teens, adults and seniors. Our mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia is located on a secluded, 55-acre campus, less than three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and is accredited by the Joint Commission. Our continuum of services includes a 24/7 free, confidential psychiatric assessment by Georgia behavioral health professionals. Anchor Hospital is a proud supporter of the National Action Alliance on Suicide Prevention. We provide Georgia behavioral health education and resources to help improve the communities we serve. In addition to a geriatric unit, a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility also offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit.

Responsibilities

Responsible to monitor and report the legal status and admission paperwork completed for all patients admitted to Anchor Hospital. Facilitates the filing of all paperwork required for involuntary commitment, including physician portions for documentation. Assist with Clinical Services Department with various duties, to include, but not limited to: ROI's, Legal documents for New Patients, Releases filled out in charts, Assist with discharge planning and other duties as assigned by Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field;.or higher degree preferred. 
  • 3 years of experience working in behavioral health or a hospital setting.
  • Prefer at least 1-2 years in a clinical setting as a Social Worker or Counselor.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English through written and verbal means.
