Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 12 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Position Summary
Reporting to the IT Director, The IS Support Tech position supports the implementation and integration of UHS/IPM clinical and business applications for ambulatory services. Requires phone or in person support of clinic IT/IS issues. Some markets have clinic operations spanning into evening and/or weekend.Responsible for management and oversight of IT Design & Construction projects. Role will support UHS/IPM Ambulatory Facilities/Clinics.
Focuses on learning and understanding the People, Process, Technology used at these Ambulatory Service locations, in order that UHS can properly structure the data integration across systems and applications. Examines the clinical and business workflows and assists in system and application integration activities. Manages conversion activities including end user support, application troubleshooting and application/technical configuration. Assists in the resolution of system issues (break/fix, maintenance or enhancement) as requested by the facility or assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center. Implements changes to existing applications as directed by management. Meets deadlines and ensures continued progress toward project objectives. Manages activities associated with IT systems and equipment related to construction projects. Works with facility stakeholders and vendors to determine requirements, and prepare specifications.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Supervisory experience in healthcare IT or Ambulatory setting strongly preferred.
Work experience: Minimum 5-8 years of IT/IS support experience in the health care industry.
