The Interpreter performs interpreting/translating services of oral and/or written communications between English and a designated second language or languages in a variety of settings. He or she provides direct care to the patients and participates in the management of the community and the therapeutic milieu. This position requires providing service to Adults, Older Adult and Adolescents in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in an area of human services, which includes, but may not be limited to the following: psychology, sociology, political science, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary/special education, or family therapy.

OR

High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus 2 years of experience in human service field.

Completion of medical interpretation class required.
