Responsibilities

University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), a 112-bed psychiatric hospital, has provided quality of care to children and adolescents in central Florida since 1989. The facility, located on a beautiful campus in Orlando, neighbors the University of Central Florida.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To capture all pertinent patient insurance information at time of admission to ensure timely billing and reduce denials and retro authorizations.

This is a Full-Time position (Tues-Sat. 3:30pm-12:00am)

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge of insurance verification process to include all payers: Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, HMO’s etc.

Education/Training:

  • Ability to calculate patient financial responsibilities related to deductibles, copays, coins, etc
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized with detail and results orientation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to deal with all levels of stress and handle crises situations
  • Ability to work in shared and busy workspace
  • Basic knowledge of Work, Excel programs
