Responsibilities

Valley Health Physician Alliance has an established footprint across the city and, in conjunction with the entire Valley Health System network of hospitals, outpatient facilities, and behavioral health centers, continues to grow and demonstrate its leadership position in the industry. Offering a network of primary care practices, cardiothoracic, bariatric, gastroenterology, general, and orthopedic surgeons; our group works cohesively to achieve consistent quality outcomes.

Position Summary:

 The Human Resources Manager provides on-going Human Resources guidance and direction to the IPM Market. Collaborates with IPM HR Director on strategic HR plans and initiatives. Provides support to the leadership team and staff concerning all areas of human resources, including performance management, employee relations, recruitment and retention, salary and wage administration, collaborate with Loss Control on Workers’ Compensation, FMLA and leave management, unemployment administration, payroll administration, orientation, and onboarding. Ensures management training is being completed in a timely manner, including Stepping into Leadership, m3, Strengths Based Leadership, and HR Essentials, as appropriate for specific roles.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):

  • 5 to 8 years HR Generalist experience and 2 years management/leadership experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • SPHR or PHR certification highly preferred.
  • Must be responsive in managing issues that require timely management/oversight.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures and employment laws (Federal, State and Local).
  • Full lifecycle recruitment experience required.
  • Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, etc.).
  • HRIS experience needed (preferably Lawson) and Applicant Tracking Systems experience.
  • Ability to organize priorities to assure recruitment and staffing levels are achieved for area of responsibility.
