Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a Health Information Manager who will be an important member of the Records Management Team by ensuring the quality maintenance of patient information/medical records, within all laws, rules and regulations of federal and state licensing agencies, and Joint Commission standards for the quality of patient care. This position’s job responsibilities will include part time chart assembly and coding.

Position Summary:
The Health Information Manager assists the HIM Director establish and maintain an audit schedule, conducts compliance audits, and may conduct billing statement audits to evaluate network wide compliance with governmental entities such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). The Health Information Manager is also responsible for carrying out the activities of the Health Information Services Department in the maintenance of all patient medical records information, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, rules/regulations of licensing agencies and within The Joint Commission standards for the quality of patient care. Coding is required and position is on-site.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associates in Applied Science or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in information management and direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility preferred.
Licensure/Certification: RHIT or RHIA preferred. Medical Coder Certification required.
