Responsibilities

Fairmount Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for adolescents and adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. Fairmount is a 173 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. Fairmount has an excellent reputation as an innovative hospital with caring, dedicated staff, experienced in the delivery of behavioral healthcare. Located in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, on a beautiful 27-acre campus, Fairmount is situated in close proximity to the Wissahickon Valley Park, offering a beautiful, peaceful setting with all the conveniences of the city nearby. 

We are currently looking for a Full Time Social Worker to join our team. The Social Worker provides Social Work Services and Case Management on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System, the NASW and if licensed, the licensing board of Pennsylvania. This individual is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

Qualifications

OB SPECIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, and adults in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

Education: Masters’ degree in Social Work/Counseling required.

Experience: Prior experience working with a psychiatric behavioral health population preferred. Prior experience in providing group/individual therapy sessions preferred. Prior experience with adolescents and behavioral health inpatient experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification: PA License preferred.
