FRN is currently seeking a Food Service Worker, to assist our dietary staff with providing delicious and nutritious meals for our patients. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to our professional culinary staff by providing a level of service that ensures our patients are met with impressive hospitality.

Qualifications

Position Summary

To provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our staff by washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment and keep the dish-room and equipment clean and organized. Supporting the Culinary Staff with precision and cutomer service excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting up and taking down buffets, restocking, and preparation related to all aspects of the kitchen/ dining room.• Assumes 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware.• Load, run and unload dish machine or manually wash dishes.• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.• Keep dish-room clean and organized.• Complete opening and closing checklists.• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.• Bag and haul kitchen trash to dumpster.• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvements.• Performs all other duties as required or assigned.

• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.• Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.• Must be able to work unsupervised.• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.• Ability to streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide excellent customer service.• Ability to learn job related material primarily through training, oral instruction and on-the-job observation.
