Canyon Ridge Hospital is a leading Behavioral Health Facility located in Chino California. The hospital is part of the Universal Health Services Network of Behavioral health facilities. Our Mission is, “To be a leader in behavioral healthcare, dedicated to excellent service in the community.”

We are seeking a Full Time Cook. The Cook is responsible for using food service equipment, utensils and supplies in the production and serving of nutritious, quality meals to patients, visitors and staff. Serves food in correct portions during scheduled time frames for meal service. The Cook will directly report to George Wilcox, our Director of Plant Operations.

Qualifications

Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic; must be able to consistently meet deadlines; and finish all food preparation at specified serving time; must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needs. Must be able to read and comprehend recipes or instructions on prepackaged products. Ability to read, convert and adjust mathematical measurements for recipe adjustments. Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile customer service interactions. Must be able to adjust recipes to achieve desired results. Must have ability to perform several tasks concurrently. Must have skills in maintaining information as highly confidential. Food handlers permit required.
