Responsibilities

River Crest Hospital (a UHS facility):

River Crest Hospital is a modern, 80-bed psychiatric hospital, specializing in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders that can afflict individuals of all ages, from children and teens, to adults and the elderly. We provide acute inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and addiction treatment programs. We are located in San Angelo, Texas. Position Summary:

The Food Service Worker is responsible for maintaining principles of proper food production and other related activities. Prepares and cooks foods according to menu; confers with supervisors as to use of leftovers; making menu changes, as necessary. Responsible for accurate inventory. Maintains high standards of food handling and cleanliness in work area, and is responsible for high standards of personal cleanliness. Works together with the employees of the department to provide optimal food, nutritional and environmental services to the patients, visitors, and staff to ensure the healing and well-being of each individual. Performs a variety of tasks that facilitate the provision of food services and nutrition support to patients, employees and visitors.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: 2 years of cooking and sanitation in a healthcare setting preferred.

Certification: Safe Serve Certification preferred.

Hours: This position is 40 hours/week.
