Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking a qualified, energetic and positive candidate for the Full-time Weekend DISHWASHER position. Austin Oaks Hospital is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health.

We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. The Cook/Dishwasher is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. Applicant must be able to bend, stoop, lift, walk, and stand throughout the workday and may be exposed to hot/cold temperatures in kitchen/storage areas. Knowledge of modified diets training in food service sanitation, industrial kitchen operations and procedures, basic equipment repairs and adjustments, industrial equipment and utensils, and skilled in utilizing such. Willing to operate dish washing machine along with sweeping and moping of dining rooms. Other duties as assigned in the kitchen. Our cooks do not work late nights. We are looking for experienced professionals to join us in being a community partner for mental health.

Qualifications

Experience: Must have at least one year experience in a hospital, nursing home type cafeteria.

Education: HS diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Certification: Must have or able to obtain Current Texas Food Handler Card.

Work Hours: Weekends: 6a-6p, Thurs and Friday 12p-6p
