Responsibilities

Meridell Achievement Center is currently accepting applicants for a Director of Human Resources. This candidate will Provide professional level planning, reporting, analysis and consultation to support the HR management goals and objectives of the organization: provides recommendations to management to support administrative decisions; uses skills and applies knowledge to manage HR-related projects as needed. Ensures HR activities are in compliance with state and federal laws, licensing and accreditation bodies, and facility contracts. Oversees all HR functions of comp/benefits, recruitment, training, and employee relations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
    • Possess excellent communication skills, ability to convey information with confidence and clarity.
    • Strong understanding of HR functions, healthcare industry and leadership.
    • Working knowledge in HR function areas of employee relations, investigation processes, staffing and retention, compensation, training/staff development, planning and other HR processes and programs.
    • Requires strong organizational, supervisory and administrative abilities.
    • Possess ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with employees and leaders.
    • Possess the ability to remain calm under pressure and ability to lead with the primary focus on Service Excellence.
    • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements.
  • Education: Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management or related field or equivalent experience. Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Driver’s License or State issued ID. Prefer PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP
  • Experience: Five years human resources generalist experience and two years supervisory experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift/lower up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
