Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Clinical Services coordinates the clinical programming for the facility. The Director of Clinical Services supervises and/or directs the Residential Treatment Centers, Partial Hospitalization Program, the Occupational Therapy Department, Educational Department and the Social Work Department. The DCS coordinates clinical performance improvement activities at Belmont Pines Hospital. The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for maintaining high quality care through staff development and education. The Director must ensure that the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures are in direct compliance with all JCAHO, federal, state and local regulations... The Director must establish and maintain a productive, professional relationship with the medical staff, management team and all other departments. The Director performs other duties as assigned. The Director of Clinical Services reports to the Hospital CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, with the designation of Clinical Supervisor. Must possess knowledge of developmental stages, psychiatric disorders of children and adolescents, and demonstrate knowledge of Belmont Pines Hospital policies and procedures.

Licensure: Must hold an active license in Ohio as a Licensed Social Worker Supervisor (LSW-S) or a Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (PCC-S).

Experience: Work experience as a licensed social worker or counselor. Work experience with severely mentally ill clients. Previous work in a mental healthcare facility is preferred.

Additional Requirements: Must maintain a valid driver’s license and complete CPR certification and Crisis Intervention Training (CPI), including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, immediately following employment and prior to performing patient care. Must maintain a working knowledge of regulatory standards: ODMH/TJC/CMS/TRICARE. Must maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and have the ability to communicate verbal and written information in a clear, organized, and positive manner to all age groups.
