Responsibilities

TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, subsidiary of UHS.

Position Summary: Performs a variety of unskilled tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, keeping refrigerators and storerooms clean and in order, cleaning of ranges, carts, pots and pans, and other food services equipment as assigned. Performs food preparation tasks as assigned by the Cook. Transports food to and from the patient areas; works in dish room; participates in tray assembly line. Stocks clinical units and physician lounge with food supplies.

Qualifications

Some kitchen experience is desirable. Must obtain Food Handler's permit upon hire. Must be able to read and compute basic math. Must be able to follow basic directions without constant supervision. Can operate and clean large pieces of food service equipment.
