Responsibilities

North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is a multifaceted behavioral healthcare system comprised of three programs to serve children and adolescents with a broad spectrum of psychiatric service needs. Programs of service include an 87-bed, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensed, Joint Commission accredited psychiatric residential treatment facility, a Partial Hospitalization Program, and a 40-bed acute psychiatric hospital. Location: Beautiful Leesburg, Virginia, 40 miles Northwest of Washington DC. Named one of the best places to live by Money magazine. 45-acre campus in a rural area on the northern edge of Leesburg with a gymnasium, beautiful outdoor campus and high ropes course. Excellent public school system.

Position Purpose: Under the direction of the Director of Business Development, develops and maintains relationships in markets that will generate desired utilization of the facility’s continuum of care. To provide community education on the mission and goals of North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing a strategic plan to promote the services offered at North Spring Behavioral Healthcare to all potential referral sources in a manner consistent with the mission and vision of the hospital.
  • Travels regionally to maintain a database of healthcare professionals.
  • Responsible for growing patient census by consistently exploring the development of new referral sources, maintaining and managing existing accounts, identifying referral source needs and tailoring services to meet those needs.
  • Coordinates with the Director of Business Development on-going updates of the Referral Source Data Base.
  • Coordinates with the Admissions Department efforts to follow up with all referral sources regarding referrals and admissions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

    • Good verbal and written skills. Skills in public speaking and problem solution. Excellent customer service skills.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Public Relations/Business/Counseling or a social science related field (minimum).

    Experience:

    • 1 years in a related healthcare field. Psychiatric health care marketing experience preferred. Five or more years of experience may be substituted for educational requirement. 
    Safety Requirements:
    • Knowledge of and adherence to company safety practices.
    Licensure:
    • None required
    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to operate a computer and review reports containing data with small print. To read and write proficiently in English. Must be able to speak clearly. Hearing and vision must be sufficient to perform the essential job functions. Must be able to travel by car and airplane, sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds and carry small objects.
