Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adults in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients. We accept private insurance, state-funded plans and self-pay arrangements.

Detox Clinical Services Manager Job Summary:

The Clinical Services Manager (“CSM”) oversees and manages the provision of high quality, cost-effective clinical care to each client in the Detox Program. The CSM provides direct client care specific to each client’s needs, including evaluation/assessment services as well as group therapy and psycho-education, as indicated and appropriate. The CSM assures compliance with regulatory, accreditation and facility requirements through monitoring, auditing, and staff supervision, particularly with regard to timeliness and content of documentation. The CSM utilizes information derived from audits to design and implement staff training to improve documentation quality. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Communicates goals and objectives to staff and monitors staff progress throughout the year. Assists staff members in achieving goals and objectives of the program. 

* Enforces program rules among staff and clients.

* Manages behavioral issues such as violation of program rules, to include developing behavioral contracts. 

* Assures testing and other contract requirements are met, with results communicated to payors/military commands per requirements.

* Provides individual and/or group training to clinical staff on issues relevant to documentation compliance, including qualitative content. 

* Conducts group therapy and facilitates educational groups as needed to meet program requirements.

* Evaluates and/or assesses clients as prescribed by regulation, policy or contract, on a timely basis.

* Completes, and assures completion of, a discharge summary for each client discharged from the Detox Program.

* Works collaboratively with other clinical and support departments to ensure outstanding customer service by identifying and meeting client needs, responding appropriately to difficult interactions, setting and upholding specific Service Excellence expectations for staff.

*Reviews Detox program referral information to assure appropriate admissions under applicable facility admission criteria.

Qualifications

Clinical Services Manager Qualifications:

The Clinical Services Manager must be a licensed therapist (LCSW, LADC, LPC) with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with adult substance abuse and dual diagnosis populations. One (1) year supervisory experience is required.
