Responsibilities

Job Summary: The Business Intelligence Developer I provides basic to moderate level ETL support. They will assist more senior level BI Developers and be assigned ETL and other developer type tasks that are appropriate to the knowledge and experience and to help them gain additional skills. They provide SQL development by utilizing SSIS, SSRS and other tools to manage data extracts and imports and to analyze and prepare reports to meet business objectives. This position may require guidance and mentoring from more senior level BI Developers.

Qualifications

Job Duties/Responsibilites:

• Prepares data requests and performs analyses that facilitate data integrity, data management and financial/statistical projections.
• Writes SQL code including stored procedures and views; downloads data from various systems/data bases; converts data from multiple sources and formats; sorts, groups, extracts and writes user reports using SSRS/SSIS or other tools.
• With guidance from more senior developers they will develop SQL databases and BI solutions using T-SQL, SQL Server 2008/20014, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, perform query performance tunings, database development, implementation, support of data, and underlying data models.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in a related technical/business field OR Associate degree and two years in a related technical/business field OR four years of industry related technical/business experience.
• Two or more years of experience working with QNXT® from TriZetto is preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience working for a Healthcare Insurance company is preferred
• 1 years' of development and support experience with SQL Server or supporting other database technologies (e.g. Oracle)
• 3 years direct experience using MS Visual Studio (Business Inteligence Developer Services) with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is required and experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is preferred.
• Ability to deploy, debug, and schedule SSIS packages
• 2 years of experience writing reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS 2008 or later version) is preferred..
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand business processes and interact directly internal and external customers and peers to provide sound business solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience developing and supporting SQL code or other Database technologies.
• Knowledge and experience developing and supporting ETL solutions uing SSIS, SSAS and SSRS tools.
• Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) with regards to managing SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS project source code is beneficial
• Knowledge of QNXT, GBAS, IMPACT or other Payor systems is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with guidance and as a member of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with users, project teams, and management.
