Fairfax Behavioral Health, founded in 1930, is a private, free-standing mental health hospital that specializes in psychiatric and detox treatment. Position Summary:

The Assistant Administrator assists the CEO in the operation of the hospital. Provides recommendations/guidance to management supporting administrative and facility decisions, sets objectives, develops plans, staffs, directs activities of assigned departments/areas of responsibility, provides professional level planning, reporting, analysis and consultation to support the goals and objectives of the organization, helps manage the hospital operations, may assume administrative responsibility for the hospital in the absence of the hospital’s CEO, ensure consistency of treatment and application of policy. AA is responsible for the functioning of various departments including Quality Control and the Northwest School of Innovative Learning. AA promotes Clinical Quality, Integrity, Safety, Service Excellence, Teamwork, Accountability and Continuous Improvement throughout all departments. AA is responsible for creating a fair, open environment for all teammates.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of four plus years of education and experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field required.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years experience in a health care management position with extensive experience in behavioral health care by providing executive leadership over day to day operations including direct accountability to develop and execute business strategies; provide leadership for quality of care, staff development, maintenance of license and accreditations, financial performance and process improvement strategies

In addition, detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment issues
