Responsibilities

Quail Run Hospital is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona. Quail Run features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Summary:

The Art Therapist provides clinical services in the form of art therapy to individuals and groups and contributes to treatment planning. The Art Therapist exercises his/her clinical knowledge in dealing with clients. S/He also provides leadership and demonstrates teaching ability to other staff in regard to art therapy. S/He plans and organizes the art therapy activities for clients in residential and inpatient programs. Includes checking inventory, ordering supplies, and individualized program planning.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Art Therapy required; certification (ATR) preferred.
  • Previous experience in the delivery of art therapy services in a similar environment, with mental health population, strongly desired.
  • Must have or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire AZ DPS Level One Fingerprint Card and CPR/BLS certification
