Responsibilities

2022 marks the 36th anniversary of Pride Institute! For 36 years, we have been providing our Pride clients with an inclusive and accepting place for recovery through evidence-based treatment for substance abuse, sexual health and mental health.

We are currently welcoming applications for an upcoming opening in our Admissions department.

Our Admissions Coordinators serve as the initial and primary contact for potential clients, their loved ones and/or their referral sources who are inquiring about services we provide. They assess potential client needs and ultimately complete the admissions process for new and returning clients at the Eden Prairie facility.

For this full-time, Monday through Thursday, 10a-6:30p position, Pride offers a generous time off policy, health, dental, vision, life and other supplemental policies, as well as a 401k plan with match and a stock purchase program from our parent company Universal Health Services (UHS – see below).

Our Admissions Coordinators are:

  • self-starters who will take initiative to complete assigned tasks with minimal guidance
  • comfortable in a fast-paced office dealing with ever-changing needs and priorities
  • knowledgeable/aware of chemical dependency and/or mental health treatment programs
  • familiar with the admissions process, nursing intake, and Human Services programs
  • organized and able to multi-task in a very busy, client-based environment
  • knowledgeable of the DSM-V and ASAM criteria or willing to learn
  • able to perform a multitude of other duties and tasks and make last minute decisions as necessary

If you are a certified peer recovery specialist, or you have a strong desire to become one, we encourage you to apply for this great opportunity!

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree in related field preferred.

Experience: Two or more years’ experience in intake assessment activities, preferably within an acute chemical dependency or behavioral health setting. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field is highly preferred.
