Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant/Case Management is responsible for providing administrative & clerical support to the Director of Clinical Services. The Administrative Assistant/Case Manager provides support to the members of the Social Services team as it relates to the function of the Social Services Department. This may include writing the schedule, managing callouts and their coverage, correcting timesheets, on boarding new staff with logins and essential tools for their job, and data entry. Additional functions include supply ordering, obtaining resources for members of the Social Services department, and other duties as assigned. The Administrative Assistant/Case Manager will also serve in the capacity of a Case Manager during designated times and/or shifts.

Case Manager responsibilities facilitating 1:1 sessions with patients to collaborate with their treatment and discharge planning, consult with families on emotional, social, and financial aspects of the patient’s life and facilitate family meetings for patients (when warranted), evaluating and documenting effectiveness of interventions and patient response to treatment, complying with required standards for medical/legal reporting situations (i.e. child abuse, dependent adult abuse, duty to warn, etc.), Have a role in multidisciplinary meetings, patient care conferences, and treatment planning, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, Master’s degree preferred; mental health field experience required.

• Agency Affiliated licensure required (can be obtained upon hire)

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a management support role is preferred.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPECIAL DEMANDS

1. Hand and finger dexterity for the use of computer equipment.

2. Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to eight (8) hours at a time.

3. Ability to stand, or walk up to six hours, sit for up to two hours.

4. Ability to move flexibly is required in filing and retrieving medical records.

5. Ability to walk, sit, stand, lift, bend, stoop, twist, pull and push is required.

6. Visual acuity is needed for accurate communication of departmental and medical information.

7. Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs. (charts, records).

8. Ability to work in an environment where the noise level is frequently high, where chemicals are frequently used for cleaning; where mechanical and electrical hazards may occasionally be present; and where dust, mist, and steam are frequently generated in housekeeping tasks.

9. Ability and knowledge of how to respond when exposed to blood and bodily fluids.

10. Ability to participate in the management of acutely agitated patients consistent with Handle with Care and hospital procedures.
