UHS of Delaware, Inc. is Hiring an ACCOUNTANT Near ENID, OK

Responsibilities

Maintain general ledger accounts and cash activities along with related journal entries and analysis. Assist other staff and managers in all finance activities to provide accurate and timely financial reporting. Assist Controller with financial statements and package reported to UHS Corporate.

  • Daily preparation and distribution of census and DOR reports to Administration and Management.
  • Prepare Sales/Use Tax Journal entry and Reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries to accurately record balance sheet, revenue and expense items.
  • Entries include, but are not limited to, fixed assets, Purchased Services, Repairs &
  • Maintenance, travel, pre-paids, accruals, and various reclassifications.
  • Prepare and/or assist in the timely preparation of month-end and year-end financial package delivered to UHS Regional Finance. Preparation includes, but is not limited to, narrative documentation, schedule completion and report generation.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly operating reports to Administration, Directors and/or Managers. Follow up by working directly with leadership regarding any questions or reclasses necessary to maintain accurate financial data/statements.
  • Perform accurate monthly reconciliations for balance sheet of general ledger accounts to be reviewed by Controller.
  • Prepare written narrative and detail for Depreciation & Balance Sheet financial package letter.
  • Record all asset purchases, calculate depreciation, prepare and post journal entries to record expense or re-class.
  • Reconcile detail fixed asset listing to general ledger.
  • Prepare all special capital asset work papers including, but not limited to, monthly financial package, year-end work papers, audits, and property tax reviews.
  • Assist management with identifying assets for transfer, trade or disposition.
  • Maintain current records by conducting annual asset inventory and making necessary adjustments with CFO approval.
  • Preparation of schedules or other financial information (Audit and Tax) for internal and/or external auditors, examiners, or others as requested by management.
  • Backup for Cash Entries & Deposits, Leases.
  • Perform aged PO review and work with appropriate parties on resolution.
  • Back up for Department & Misc. Statistics, monthly census, Pacers & AICDs.
  • Oversee the Fixed Asset system conversion to McKesson which includes: attending super user training, testing, and verifying integrity of data through transition, as well as providing support to St. Mary's staff.
  • Assist in planning and preparation of annual capital and operating budget.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field required.
  • 3-5 year’s previous experience as an accountant preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office Excel. 
  • Good typing skills,
  • Ten key by touch.
  • Must successfully complete the Pre-employment Assessment.
