The Compliance Analyst will collaborate with subject matter experts in the organization to ensure that the company is meeting the highest standards of regulatory and policy compliance. The Compliance Analyst will develop and execute internal audits by examining records, reports, and operating practices, against established controls to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Participate in design and implementation of management controls and practices to ensure that all business units are compliant with Federal, state and local rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, FCRA, ECOA, TILA, FDCPA, EFTA, Dodd-Frank and Gramm-Leach-Bliley.
  • Maintain current licensure for multiple UGA Finance Entities. 
  • Complete application process form beginning to end ensuring licensure in required state. 
  • Contact external clients requesting state specific requirements. 
  • Complete application and renewals through NMLS filing system. 
  • Conduct process owner interviews and assist in documenting end-to-end procedures for in-scope processes; updating existing documentation as changes occur.
  • Participate in unannounced mock audits or walkthroughs with process owners to ensure process and control documentation is correct.
  • Track corrective actions to ensure all actions are completed and properly documented.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in Regulatory Compliance, Quality Program, Safety or Human Resources preferred
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documents, such as compliance regulations.
  • Skilled at communicating clearly, verbally and in writing, including the ability to provide technical assistance on complex compliance issues in a simple, straightforward manner.
  • Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment.
  • The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
