UCLA is Hiring an Executive Director of Executive MBA Admissions Near Los Angeles, CA
The Executive MBA (EMBA) and UCLA-NUS Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) programs at the UCLA Anderson School of Management are nationally-recognized, self-supporting degree programs that serve approximately 350 students, all of whom are mid-career professionals and experienced managers. The Director of Admissions for the Executive MBA Programs has overall managerial responsibility for the marketing, recruiting, and admissions areas of both programs. The Director will be responsible for growing the applicant pools for the Executive MBA Programs and ensuring the annual admission of full cohorts of qualified students to both programs. This will be accomplished through a combination of outreach, communication, application evaluation, data analysis, and collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The Director will also lead information sessions and "meet and greet" events on campus and throughout North America, and will serve as the primary contact for all communications with GEMBA and EMBA applicants. The Director will also play an integral part in evaluating applications and in crafting balanced and dynamic cohorts for both programs. The position will bear responsibility for ensuring a strong yield of accepted students who choose the program. This may be accomplished through counseling of admitted and waitlisted students and by holding "yield" events in advance of the start of the fall term. Additional responsibilities include overseeing admissions committee processes and admissions decisions, conducting interviews with prospective GEMBA and EMBA applicants, verifying academic and professional eligibility, managing the admissions staff and budget, and representing the GEMBA and EMBA programs at professional conferences. Required Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to make and support admission recommendations and decisions in a highly competitive admissions environment and to efficiently review large numbers of applications on time and with solid judgment. Required Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies and to analyze results. Required Skills in data analysis and forecasting. Required Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to interact effectively with prospective students, faculty, and administrators in person and in writing. Required Strong presentation and public speaking skills. Required Proven ability to hire, supervise, train, discipline, evaluate, develop and motivate direct reports and, to the extent required, alumni volunteers. Required Ability to work as part of a team in a high-performance environment. Required Demonstrated ability to plan and manage fiscal resources through budget planning and fund management. Required Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office, web design, multimedia software, and survey tools. Required Experience using customer relationship management systems. Required Broad knowledge of business and industry, including professional experience in MBA and/or business-related fields. Required Ability to travel internationally and work evenings, weekends, holidays and other non-traditional work schedules (i.e., Tuesday-Saturday).
