Job Duties:
The Department of Medicine is looking for a motivated candidate tosupport the UCLA DGSOM Community Engagement (CE) Program’s workforce developmentefforts to implement the community engagement component of the strategic plan underthe supervision and guidance of the CE program director. In this role, responsibilities will include supportingretention efforts with high school pipeline alumni and providing case management and referral to student alumni for career readiness and trainingprograms. Additionally, you will guide students through their timeline withCommunity Engagement by assisting outreach, recruitment, and supportingadmissions strategies. You will also oversee mentorship efforts in the implementationof the Turner UCLA Allied Health Internship Program, guiding students towardspursuing careers in emergency medical services and other short term alliedhealth and para professional certification programs via academic support andlinkage to services.
Job Qualifications:
Required: •Familiarity with social media platforms to communicate with program participants Preferred: •Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Communication or related field
•Ability to maintain patient confidentiality as required by HIPAA
•Demonstrated ability to effectively handle and maintain composure in stressful situations
•Knowledge of PCs, windows operation system, and related word processing and spreadsheet software (such as Word, Excel, etc).
•Ability to perform duties and tasks independently, with minimal supervision
•Ability to interpret basic data collection and analysis
•CA Drivers License required, field work requires driving directly to the field site
•Minimum of 1 year of case management experience required
