Description

SUMMARY: The Senior Manager of Information Technology and Software Development, oversees the UChain Group, Inc. IT department and all other technical operations and components within the organization. This exempt position reports to the Sr. Director of IT and is responsible for leading internal and external technical teams in accomplishing strategic priorities and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Manage the day-to-day activities and be responsible for all IT operations including systems, software, security, assets, personnel, vendors, and contractors
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate all work and aspects of projects, initiatives and/or assigned tasks
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments and projects to determine technical necessity and required resources; develop roadmaps to implement solutions based on strategic priorities and initiatives; determine scope and establish timelines/deadlines
  • Directly manage and supervise IT team including developers/engineers, project/product managers, analysts, administrators, technicians, and contractors
  • Provide guidance, and training to IT personnel on various IT systems, policies, and procedures
  • Manage and assign priorities and personnel to major projects to ensure attainment of strategic priorities, and alignment of organizational goals and objectives
  • Accurately estimate resource allocation and forecast timeframes for project completion
  • Acts as a positive brand ambassador and seeks opportunities to support and promote the organizational movements and direction
  • Work collaboratively across boundaries to exceed the needs of our employees, clients, and work colleagues
  • Lead by example and provide unrivaled services that deliver premium value to our clients
  • Execute organization’s strategic direction relating to IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, and communication systems), and make recommendations to business decision makers
  • Develop, manage, and track the IT departments annual budget and controls cost
  • Monitors and ensures delivery of IT services and systems performance
  • Develop, analyze, and track department KPIs and standards supporting organizational priorities and goals
  • Maintain and evaluate the company’s adherence to federal technology security requirements, and associate risks and overall organizational exposure
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems policies and procedures
  • Proactively assess and identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Strong knowledge of IT project management principles, and software development strategies including Agile, and responsible for end-to-end success in both areas
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to consistently communicate across the organization and various levels
  • Implements companywide technology updates and new feature education
  • Fully understand, provide guidance, and administer Company policies and procedures accurately and consistently
  • Conducts performance evaluations timely and constructively

Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with Company policy

  • Establish or upgrade IT procedures as needed while recommending change to improve efficiencies to minimize manual administration, workflow bottlenecks and repetitive data entry

  • Trench worker, willing to roll up sleeves to do what needs to be done.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and curious when seeking out solutions.
  • Organizes work in a structured and well-planned manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Posture: Prolonged sitting

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional travel; occasional prolonged work hours as appropriate for business needs, initiatives, and project goals Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; fast paced industry with frequently changing priorities; prolonged screen exposure

SALARY

$130,000-$140,000annually
