Job Description Production Operator – 2nd Shift Cedar Rapids, IA, The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Production Operator to work in our production area in Cedar Rapids, IA. Successful candidates must be willing to contribute improvements suggestions and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated- fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities & Duties: Must learn the safe and proper operation of the equipment. Perform set-up and start-up procedures for the equipment as needed. Assist in troubleshooting issues with line performance as it relates to equipment operation. Maintain downtime records during line operation. Responsible for monitoring and communicating any process or product abnormalities to your Supervisor or Team Leader. Perform weight checks and document when needed. Performing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) at all times. Perform all required observations and training timely and as scheduled. Support Plant Quality Systems. Operators could be used on any production line or shift for business needs. Responsible to follow Food safety requirements such as Good Manufacturing Practices and other daily/job specific duties to support the Quality Risk Management Practices. Follow all factory and company policies. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader. Qualifications: Must be detail-oriented and possess good organizational skills Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. above your head Must be able to perform well under stress Working conditions include extremes of hot and cold temperatures. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work independently and with others. Must be able to work in a safe manner. Must ensure quality products are being packaged. Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies and Safety Procedures. Responsible for Q-RMP standards implementation as defined by the accountability list document. Employees will follow all safety protocols and perform their job responsibilities in a safe manner. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
