Twist Bioscience is looking for an outstanding candidate to join Twist's Safety, Health, and Environment Department. Reporting to the Facilities Director, you will be responsible provide support for Twist Facilities. This includes maintaining and supporting CGMP and ISO-certified production facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• - Conduct EHS training and safety orientation
  - Lead and document risk assessments, incident investigations and other occupational
  safety programs, ensure implementation of corrective actions
  - Assume incident command role during emergencies
  - Lead the safety committee
  - Coordinate facility & lab inspections and address the findings
  - Collaborate with local, state and federal agencies to support facility inspections, submit
  annual reports, maintain permits and ensure overall compliance of EHS programs
  - Coordinate emergency response process (drills, equipment maintenance, training)
  - After-hours support (facility runs 24/7)
  - Manage EHS programs and ensure proper implementation (chemical hygiene,
  ergonomics, biological safety, hazardous waste management, emergency response)

Qualifications and Requirements

• Desired skills:
  - Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  - 5-7 yrs of experience as an EHS professional
  - Education: BA or BS in occupational safety, environmental/health sciences or related
  field, or equivalent work experience
  - Professional certification is a plus (ASP/CSP, CIH, CHMM etc.)
